We accept many types of vision and medical insurance, cash, checks, and most credit cards. We inform our patients about exam and treatment costs at the beginning of their appointments. If you would like a breakdown of your fees, please let us know, and we are happy to provide one.
The knowledgeable staff at University Vision Centre is experienced in working with vision insurance providers. We will work directly with you and your vision insurer to submit claims regarding your vision care. We strive to ensure that you understand your insurance coverage and will answer any questions you may have regarding your benefits. Most vision plans are designed to cover some of the basic vision-related costs, but not all costs associated with eye care. Most plans require a co-payment for an examination and may specify additional costs that are to be covered by the patient.

Flexible Spending Accounts
Many employers are offering Flexible Spending Account (FSA) options to employees. Sometimes these are referred to as cafeteria plans and are elective, supplemental insurance savings plans. These plans are designed to let you save money in an account, pre-tax, to pay for additional medical expenses such as eye exams, glasses, contacts, and often laser vision surgery. Check with the benefits administrator at your work to see if you are eligible for this program. FSAs can typically be used in conjunction with any vision insurance plan to offset any out-of-pocket costs on your behalf.
PAYMENT OPTIONS AND INSURANCE POLICY
We accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, Debit, American Express, Personal Checks, the Western Trade Exchange, and Cash. As a service to our patients, we are pleased to offer financing through CareCredit, the nation's leading medical payment program. Care Credit is a credit card designed to pay for eye exams, glasses, and other out of pocket medical costs not covered by insurance.
We participate with most major vision insurance plans, including Aetna, Block Vision, Blue Cross/Blue Shield, CIGNA, EyeMed, Medicare, Superior Vision, United Health Care and VSP. To find out if we accept your plan, please call our office.
